This notice explains how the Chrome extension “Amazon Seller: Customer Invoice Exporter” processes data. Further company information is available in the Legal notice.
The extension helps authorised Amazon Seller Central users request and download end-customer invoice ZIP archives for a selected month or quarter. It processes the relevant Seller Central page locally in the browser to enter date ranges, request reports, identify the ZIP links supplied by Amazon and start the downloads requested by the user.
ChanCode does not receive, read or store invoice files, invoice contents, Amazon credentials, cookies or order details. The invoice ZIP files travel directly from Amazon to the user’s Chrome download folder.
The extension has no permission to read the general browsing history, does not build user profiles and contains no analytics, advertising tracking or telemetry.
The extension may store the current export status, selected period, progress information and whether the licence panel is expanded. For Premium access it additionally stores the licence key entered by the user, a randomly generated installation name, the instance ID returned by Lemon Squeezy and a cached entitlement status including validation timestamps.
This information is required to perform or resume the requested export and to avoid unnecessary licence requests. It is not combined with a ChanCode user account. Local data remains in the extension’s Chrome storage until it is overwritten, removed through the extension/browser functions or deleted when the extension data is removed.
The Free plan does not require a licence key. When a Premium licence is activated, validated or deactivated, the extension sends the entered licence key and a randomly generated installation name or the associated instance ID over encrypted HTTPS to the Lemon Squeezy License API at api.lemonsqueezy.com. Technical connection data such as the IP address, request time and request metadata is necessarily processed by the service.
No invoice files, invoice contents, Amazon credentials, Amazon cookies, order details or Seller Central page contents are sent to Lemon Squeezy. The legal basis for activation and delivery of Premium functionality is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR. Validation of an active licence and prevention of unauthorised multiple use are also based on our legitimate interests under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR.
Lemon Squeezy may process data in the United States. According to its privacy information, transfers outside the EEA are protected by appropriate safeguards such as European Commission standard contractual clauses or another legally recognised transfer mechanism. Details are available in Lemon Squeezy’s Privacy Policy and Data Processing Agreement.
An authorised Amazon Seller Central account is required. Amazon provides the invoice report and files under its own responsibility and privacy terms. Installation and updates are delivered through the Google Chrome Web Store under Google’s own privacy terms. ChanCode does not control the independent processing performed by Amazon or Google.
Operational and licence information stored by the extension remains locally in Chrome only for as long as needed for the functions described above or until the user deletes the extension data. Removing the extension normally removes its local storage. Data processed independently by Amazon, Google or Lemon Squeezy is retained according to those providers’ policies and applicable statutory obligations.
Where the legal requirements are met, you have the right to access (Article 15 GDPR), rectification (Article 16), erasure (Article 17), restriction of processing (Article 18), data portability (Article 20) and objection to processing based on legitimate interests (Article 21). You may also lodge a complaint with a data-protection supervisory authority.
The supervisory authority responsible for ChanCode is the State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information North Rhine-Westphalia (LDI NRW).
Licence requests are transmitted over HTTPS. The extension follows the principle of data minimisation and limits host access to the services required for its single purpose. We may update this notice if the extension’s functionality, service providers or legal requirements change. The current version is always available through this direct link.
